Department of Architecture

The bachelor program in architecture, affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture, is based on a four-year study (including six-month summer practice in total), which is structured around design studios, supported by compulsory and elective courses on the tracks of “design and theory”, “history” and “technology”. The program is composed of courses in the multi-dimensional study areas of architecture, including fundamentals of design and visual communication, architectural design and theory, building science and technology, history of architecture, landscape design and planning, urban studies and planning, and professional practice. The Department is recognized by its contextual, ethical and critical approach, emphasizing responsibility for physical and cultural contexts and commitment to professional ethics, and aiming to develop students’ creative skills. The aim is to equip students with requisite global and local knowledge and critical understanding, valuing the initiative to challenge the mainstream in order to promote leadership in professional and academic practices of architecture in national and international contexts.
